We feel the need to mention
that we are less than impressed with the People Magazine’s
April 11 story. It is quite sad to see a respectable publication
resort to the superficial and irresponsible methods of cheap tabloid journalism. The
theory of a Russian Mafia debt they attempt to enlighten the reader
with is totally ludicrous, and considered as such not only by
friends, but also by the detectives from 19th Precinct who are
directly working on the case. To date there is no motive, no
suspect, no lead, no theory, and no progress - that is what more or
less NYC Police Commissioner Kelly said at his April 9th Press
Conference. |

We would like to clarify the
information reported by the Daily News on 04/05/03. It was
stated that the garage attendant saw Svetlana getting into a gypsy
cab. In fact, the garage attendant had seen her getting into a
NYC Yellow Cab (and not a gypsy cab) at 68th Street and York
Ave. As per attendant’s account, the cab driver was a white male,
in his mid-thirties to early forties. Svetlana did not talk to the
driver. She picked up her dog prior to getting into the cab. The
garage attendant did not see her hail the cab, however this may be
because he was bent down, petting her dog. |

| Dr. Alexander Aronov has passed his second
polygraph test - this time administered by NYPD. The result of this
test, as well as the result of the first test, which he had taken at
independent facility in early March, "did not implicate Dr.
Aronov as being involved with his wife disappearance". |
